Work log

2023-06-24: the usb3sun is interesting - it allows you to connect usb keyboards and mice to classic Sun workstations.

2021-07-13: I re-created this page on my self-hosted web server.

2009-06-16: the machine only have an AUI connector, and needs a transceiver. Luckily I had one. Media support looks like this:

root@sparc2# ifconfig -m le0
le0: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        address: 08:00:20:0e:c1:62
        media: Ethernet 10base5
        status: active
        supported Ethernet media:
                media 10base5

2009-06-16: I booted this old workstation.OpenBoot says:

SPARCstation 2, Type 4 Keyboard
ROM Rev. 2.2, 64 MB memory installed, Serial #967010.
Ethernet address 08:00:20:0e:c1:62, Host ID 550ec162.

Note: this is after fixing the NVRAM / IDPROM (via archive.org), the battery is probably dead.
