History

2020-05-01: Facit 4070 punch - Centronics parallel port interface, Facit 4070 paper tape punching with Arduino mega (another Arduino interface) and Github: RichardShipman/Facit4070arduino,

2017-06-29: Facit 4070 punch - PaperTapePuncher allows you to use an Arduino as control unit for a Facit 4070.

2016-07-28: a new haul today. from "my friendly fellow in town" again. Quite a bit of stuff. Media - ND (or related)

magnetic tapes

7 x Scotch 777 GP 6250 BPI tapes, unused (still in sealed plastic wrapping) - the spool on these tapes are about 10.5 inches
    in diameter.
7 x Scotch 777 GP 6250 BPI tape (10.5 inch spool diameter), index paper suggests it contains a personal backup of files
    from 1977.
9 x Scotch 777 GP 6250 BPI tapes with a spool diameter of 8.5 inches. These look like they are file backups, most have an
    index paper with the tape.
9 x Racal-Zonal (or unlabeled) tapes with 7 inch spool diameter. 3 of these tapes have an index paper, the rest are unmarked
3 x digital cassette tapes, Philips Electrologica 8709 100 4299, "certified for use on P 350 System". Looks like Philips audio
cassettes. Text on cassette inlay paper says that these are (personal) backups from 1976.

2016-07-14: a new haul today. from "my friendly fellow in town" again. Quite a lot of stuff. Hardware - ND (or related)

1 x FACIT 4012 (ser no. 740 0207) tape winding machine (for paper tape).
1 x FACIT 4070 (ser no. 904 0043) paper tape punch - ND 13-310 + 1 plastic hub for paper tape
1 x paper tape reader, Digitronics, ND 11-671 - it need a new (rubber) roller wheel
1 x parallel port interface (ISA) Mitsubishi WEPRIO DC280/79D, modified for open collector, used with the Facit 4070
1 x 1043F Card Reader Buffer (ND-10 or ND-100?)
2 x cables, one possibly used with the Facit 4070

Media - ND

1 x CDC disk pack 75 MB labeled "Back-up S80A", "800516"
1 x paper tape (green) with unknown code on it (no marks or labels)
3 x rolls of "blank" paper tape (green) + blank tape (green) in Facit 4070

2016-07-09: console cable - a few days ago, I put covers (shell) onto my console cable. The covers are of a grey, hard plastic type and sticks about two millimeters out on each side (the long sides) of the connectors. Works great on the terminal (Nokia VDU 301 S), but the console connector (in fact, all the connectors) on the back of the ND-110 Satellite sit too close to a "wall" so they won't fit with the cover on. So, off it goes.

2016-07-02: console cable - I used the instructions at sintran.com for the ND-325307-xx console cable (current loop) to solder up a new console cable. I used Cat5 network cable, it has 4 pairs (eight leads) which is more than enough as current loop only uses two pairs. Seen from the DB25M connector (goes into ND-100):

pin 15 - RxD+ orange/white
pin 16 - RxD- orange
pin 17 - TxD+ blue/white
pin 18 - TxD- blue
the other end DB25F connector (to the terminal):
pin 12 - RxD+ blue/white
pin 13 - RxD- blue
pin 23 - TxD+ orange/white
pin 24 - TxD- orange

tested by connecting it to the ND-110 Satellite and the Nokia VDU 301 S - it works perfectly.

2016-06-30: I used t2 the media machine to write SINTRAN III release M to three floppies. 2016-06-30: Gandalf and a friend delivered to me (all the way from Umeå, Sverige):

1 x ND-110 Satellite machine
1 x terminal ND 110215 - Nokia VDU 301 S with keyboard

wow.

2016-06-28: software - a friend in Tromsø sent me images for SINTRAN III release M install floppies.

looks ok.

2016-05-28: From "my friendly fellow in town" I collected five cartridge disks (CDC Model (9)848-24, nine tapes (9-track tape), one paper tape (contains RUNOFF:SYMB) and a huge number of manuals and other documentation - check the ND documentation page for details.

2013-09-29: From "my friendly fellow in town" I collected three manuals, some quick reference cards and floppies: several boxes of 8-inch floppies, mostly ND software, backups and so on, but also a few CP/M floppies. Several boxes of 5.25 inch floppies (intended as reuse), some contains PC / DOS software from Digital.

2013-02-11: I collected a sealed box of 5.25 inch floppies + 6 (5.25 inch) floppies with ND software and software for ND machines on it, from another friendly fellow in town.

2011-09-23: a Swedish collector delivered me a ND-100/CX Compact computer with console terminal (Tandberg TDV 2200/9) and documentation.

2010-10-22: I collected a ND-Satellite/9, two terminals (ND 320 - Tandberg TDV 2200/9, ND 246 - Tandberg TDV 2200), two boxes of 8-inch floppies and some documentation from a friendly fellow in town.
