History

2021-08-14: I re-created this page on my self-hosted web server.

2017-05-27: apps - upgraded to Sense 2.1.1,

2017-05-09: sleep pill - battery - the battery is getting low and should be replaced. I took out the battery and checked the voltage - 2.9V. I tried changing to a new battery - it didn't help. Perhaps the sleep pill is dead?

2016-09-19: batteries - the package from InkClub.com arrived in my mailbox.

2016-09-14: sleep pill - battery - the sleep pill has been out of contact for a few days now. Unfortunately, I'm out of CR2025 batteries. I bought a 32-2235 CR2025 x 1 at Clas Ohlson, NOK 29.90, and replaced the battery. Actually, it is the bottom cover (the one with "hello" written on that hides the battery compartment. Anyway, replace battery, shake pill, sense lights up. Good. The old battery lasted five and a half month, and has 1.625 Volts now. I also ordered 3 x 5-pack CR2025 from InkClub.com, shipping was expensive (compared to the batteries) but I also ordered some CR2032's so...

2016-08-29: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.5.1,

2016-07-12: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.4.4,

2016-06-30: today I had to log in when I started the app. strange.

2016-03-24: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.3.0,

2016-02-29: sleep pill - battery - I replaced the battery in the sleep pill (it had been out of contact for a few days). Replacement is easy - pop off the top cover (the one with the logo on, not the text), take out old CR2025, insert new CR2025, replace cover. Shake the pill a few times and watch sense light up the pill color. The voltage over the old battery was 1.5 V. That is a bit low for a 3 V battery. One month and 3 weeks lifetime - not very good.

2016-02-15: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.2.2,

2016-02-04: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.2.1,

2016-01-11: sleep pill - battery - I replaced the battery in the sleep pill (it had been out of contact for a few days). Replacement is easy - pop off the top cover (the one with the logo on, not the text), take out old CR2025, insert new CR2025, replace cover. Shake the pill a few times and watch sense light up the pill color. Update: I measured the voltage over the old battery - it was 1.7 V. That is a bit low for a 3 V battery.

2016-01-05: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.2.0,

2015-11-13: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.8,

2015-11-10: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.7,

2015-11-07: I can't find the MAC Address of the Sense anywhere in the app. And it is not written anywhere on the box, or the papers included.

2015-10-25: sleep pill - seems that the "low battery" was a false alarm, it is still good now.

2015-10-21: sleep pill - battery - started the Sense app today, and got a low battery warning with choices of "later" and "replace". I selected "later".

2015-10-15: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.6,

2015-10-05: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.5,

2015-09-15: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.4,

2015-09-02: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.2,

2015-08-31: sleep pill - battery - it was indeed the battery. after replacing it with a new CR2025, I could shake the sleep pill a few times and the Sense light up with the color of the sleep pill. Nice.

2015-08-31: the Sense app now reports that the Sleep Pill was last seen 3 days ago, with battery level good. I have tried shaking it, but no reaction from Sense itself. Maybe I need to replace the battery (CR2025).

2015-08-14: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.1,

2015-08-02: apps - upgraded to Sense 1.1.0,

2015-06-30: app setup - I started the sense app, pressed "Get started", "Set Up Sense", created a Sense account, personal data and so on. It found my Sense on Bluetooth, connected, and then started looking for WiFi networks. It found both mine, I connected it to the oldest one. Next is pairing the Sleep Pill, the I attach it to the pillow case. Sense then check the conditions of my room. Finally I adjust settings in the app (metric units and 24-hour clock) and I'm done.

2015-06-30: app - installed Sense version 1.0.9 on my Galaxy S5, permissions: Identity, Position, Pictures / media / files, Bluetooth connection info. I also turned off auto-update in Play Store for the app.

2015-06-30: Setup start - I connected the Sense to the power adapter, it gave a sound and started to glow purple.

2015-06-30: Unpacking. A rather nice, round box in black with protective plastic sealed around it. A logo on top and a sticker underneath, with "hello", "Model MA14214" and some numbers (one is perhaps a serial number?). Numbers:EBJB5E2217650, 40232 20667.Removed the plastic sealing and lifted the top off the box. This revealed the Sense ball resting in the box on a round plastic tray. Removing the tray reveals the rest: a sleep pill (white and grey), a usb power adapter (black) 5V 1A, a usb to micro usb cable (black), two stickers with the Hello logo on,a "Get started" piece of carton (basically visit senseapp.com) and a warranty piece of paper.

2015-06-30: package delivered (to work) today.

2015-06-29: the shipping company called me. Unfortunately, I was at work so I agreed to delivery at work tomorrow.

2015-06-28: I got a "shipped" notice (and tracking number) from the project. The tracking number works, so we shall see.

2014-12-15: the project sent out a "shipping soon" notice.

2014-09-17: I answered the project response survey, which had been sent out while I was on Holiday. I selected Charcoal as color of my Sense, and Android OS.

2014-07-27: I backed the project with USD 114.- (shipping USD 15.-) with a reward of "Get Sense and a Sleep Pill for the early-backer Kickstarter price of $99. Pre-orders will be $129." with estimated delivery Nov 2014.
