2015-05-09: this evening I will install Android 5.1.1 System Update (size: 9.6 MB), which is already downloaded (I don't know when). Right now battery level (15%) is too low to install, I'll have to charge the Nexus 7 first. When battery level was at 20% I was able to reboot and install the update. Reboot, install, optimize apps (99). After the upgrade, the tablet runs Android 5.1.1, kernel version 3.1.0-gf5d7b8b, android-build@vpbs1.mtv.corp.google.com #1 Thu Jan 8 04:50:16 UTC 2015, build number LMY47V.

2015-03-01: while charging today, when the tablet powered up, it did some "Android upgrading", but afterwards everything is the same?

2015-01-14: checked the tablet today and discovered that a new system update had been downloaded, waiting for me to install it. This time it is Android 5.0.2 System Update - 311.2 MB - improves performance and stability and fixes bugs. Battery was at 54% when I started the update. Reboot, update, optimizing apps (99). 2014-05-19: today the package from MyTrendyPhone.no was delivered, straight into my mailbox. The Nexus 7 simply "clips" into the plastic backside of the leather case.

2014-05-14: I ordered a black Rotary flipcase (varenr 75921) for the Asus Google Nexus 7 from MyTrendyPhone.no, the price was NOK 104.- and shipping was NOK 39.- so NOK 143.- in total.

2014-04-08: bootloader mode: It says "fastboot mode" in red, then product name - grouper, variant - grouper, HW version - ER3, bootloader version 4.23, baseband version - N/A, serial number - 015d25787c4ff00b, signing - not defined yet, lock state - locked. Menu choices (via volume keys) are: power off, start, restart bootloader, recovery mode. If I try recovery mode, the Google logo shows up, followed by a dead Android with a red warning sign over hos opened belly, and the text "Ingen kommando." (no command) below.

2014-04-08: I haven't done anything with the Nexus 7 yet. It still runs Android 4.4.2 (Norwegian), kernel version 3.1.10-g4776c68, android-build@vpbs1.mtv.corp.google.com #1 Wed Nov 20 15:07:54 PST 2013. Build number KOT49H.

2014-01-08: the seller and I worked within walking distance of each other, so the deal was closed, I paid and got the Nexus 7.

2014-01-06: I found a Nexus 7 (2012 model) 32 GB on Mac1.no, which the seller wanted NOK 700.- for. It has a US charging adapter, but that is no biggie.
