Norsk Data - software

A list of the software I have, mostly floppies.

History

2020-02-16: I made new images of ND-220046K03 SINTRAN III/VSX-500 (standard system D) floppies: n-220046k03--01d.img.gz, n-220046k03--02d.img.gz with FluxEngine (reports no errors), ndfs extracts files from them.

2020-02-16: I made a new image of ND-210628F SINTRAN III VSE/VSX Utility programs floppy, using FluxEngine: 210628f01-xx-01d.img.gz. The image checks out with ndfs - I can extract files from it. FluxEngine reports that there still are 6 bad sectors, so use at your own risk.

2020-02-16: I made a new image of the ND-211067A Mass storage Utilities floppy, using FluxEngine: 211067a02-xx-01d.img.gz. The image checks out with ndfs - I can extract files from it. FluxEngine reports that there still are 5 bad sectors, so use at your own risk.

2019-04-09: on a field trip to a museum storage facility, I used a 5.25 inch floppy drive and a FluxEngine to capture images off some floppies. Later we determined that all double-sided ("format 17b") are broken (due to FluxEngine sw/fw not having the required support yet), the single-sided ("format 0b") images are probably ok.

single sided / format 0b

double sided / format 17b

2018-09-10: I imaged more 8 inch floppies from the 2013-09-29 haul, this time backups, possibly in Backup-System (Ba-Sy) format (the floppies imaged without errors, but I don't have a way to read or verify Ba-Sy format yet).

2018-07-04: I imaged more 8 inch floppies.

2018-07-02: I set up my 8-inch media computer, so that I can finally read and image my 8 inch floppies. Tested with some images, see the 2013-09-29 entry.

2017-??-??: I got a floppy from a colleague, it contains 210518C USER-ENVIRONMENT. Image: 210518C01-NO-01S.image.gz.

2016-07-21: I visited a friendly Swede, who had all the ND software from Bert Thomas, and more. He let me borrow everything. It will take me a while to image all these floppies, and to scan the documentation.

1 x blue plastic floppy box (for 5.25 inch floppies), labeled "Inmac Plus 80", containing just three floppies: 250306M06-XX-01D.image.gz, 250306M06-XX-02D.image.gz, 250306M06-XX-03D.image.gz, all: 250306m06.zip. This is SINTRAN III version M. No documentation.

3 x blue binders with Norsk Data logo on them. The binders are not labeled. The binder contain plastic sleeves with5.25 inch floppies and documentation.

binder 1: contains an index sheet (PDF), saying this software is (was) running on system 3081.20557, and listing the following packages

and some non-ND floppies as well.

2013-02-11: this afternoon I visited a kind man who gave me a sealed box of unused floppies (3M - DS, HD - 5.25 inch, box of 10), and a few 5.25 inch floppies with ND software on. The ND floppies are:
