2021-08-17: I re-created this page on my self-hosted web server.

2018-05-30: TestFDC - I set up the motherboard on a testbench today, and connected a 3.5 inch NEC FD1231 floppy drive to it, and ran TestFDC. Test results below.

ok

2012-10-12: Today I got a new PSU (for another machine), and decided to test this motherboard (using a breadboard setup). It turns out the motherboard is ok. Note: this motherboard doesn't recognize a usb keyboard for BIOS etc.

2011-08-08: motherboard failure? today I took down the machine to replace a couple of failed hard drives. Well, it turns out the machine didn't like that. Now it won't turn on at all. I took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly, but that didn't help. It still will not turn on. Occasionally the fans turns when I connect the PSU, but that's it. Perhaps the motherboard has developed bad capacitors, I don't know.

2009-12-29: I upgraded the bios from version F11 (released 2006/01/16) to version F12K (released 2008/10/22). I had to boot from a floppy (usb-connected), as the q-flash program didn't want to read from usb-connected floppy drive.

2009-12-20: The newest bios available now is version F12K, released 2008/10/22. The .exe file can be unpacked with 7za from atchivers/p7zip.

2006-12-18: BIOS upgraded to version F11. Previous version was F10. dmidecode still reports version F7. Strange.
