2008-05-16: I booted the OpenSolaris 2008.05 liveCD on the laptop. Output from dmesg, prtconf -D, prtdiag, Everything works, Xorg in 1600x1200, even the ral0 wireless nic comes up. Firefox works, even the flash plugin installs. Nice! But 512MB memory seems a bit small - there is a lot of swapping as soon as I load a complex web page (like an online newspaper). Ok - sound doesn't work - a driver for ESS Maestro-3i is missing.
