History

2026-09-19: when loading TPU filament - it is useful to use a short piece of PLA to force out any old filament stuck in the head. Simply take out the "PLA stick" once the old filament clears, then insert the TPU and load normally.

2026-08-02: I did the first PETG print on the printer today, using a PETG profile that I had (as usual) modified from a Prusa Generic PETG. Worked nicely.

2025-10-28: TPU - made a new filament profile for TPU, and a new speed setting, and did a test print. Came out ok.

2024-03-25: PrusaSlicer 2.6.0 - I have copied all presets from the MK3, so I have many layer heights: 0.05, 0.07, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20 and 0.30 mm. Not all of them are tested.

2024-03-25: OrcaSlicer 1.9.1 - it comes with 2 presets for printing on Sovol SV07 Plus: 0.18 mm and 0.20 mm layer height.

2024-03-17: I printed Logitech C270 adapter for SV07 webcam mount and the neccessary parts from SV07 /07+ Camera Mount ESP32CAM. I had to scrape the inner corners of the base in order to fit it to my Sovol SV07Plus.

2024-03-10: I used OrcaSlicer on my Debian laptop to slice Print in Place Sliding Number Puzzle the 4x4 version and print it at 0.2mm layer height. We shall see how that turns out. It turned out too tight, most of the pieces had to be pried loose.

2024-03-03: I printed SOVOL SV07 PLUS Extruder Cable Bracket at 0.2 mm layer height and mounted it.

2024-02-25: I selected the "Cable Buckle" from the included usb stick as the first test print.
